I have been in the music business a long time, guitarist, pianist, vocalist, recording engineer and Vintage guitar and amplifer dealer to this day and I have to tell you this...You have a very rare and special gift of music that you share through your writing, singing, guitar playing and in your eyes and your smile. You make the world a little better place to be in by adding your heartfelt talents to it. It's great to know that you are out there sharing your gift of music. Thank you my friend.
Hi Laura - Just watched the "Let Us Begin" clip. As always, I am so moved by your presence, music, lyrics, and commitment to the possibility of us to be better people with the capacity to make a better world. I love you my dear friend.
Lara, thank you for your wonderful performance in Putnam tonight! You write beautiful, powerful messages and have the voice to really make it hit home...it game me chills. I'm totally sold and can't wait to catch more shows in the future! Be well, Hannah
Heard you for the first time, Lara, at the Women of Song Benefit Concert for Center for Women and Families in Bridgeport. Love your new CD and "Let Us Begin." Thanks for POSITIVE message. - Susan
I love the new album. Been playing it on my show Radio Wtih a View on wmbr, 88.1 fm, Cambridge, MA, wmbr.org. marc
Just returned from enjoying Lara. I appreciated hearing someone down home for a change; similar to the class of John Fogerty. She has it all. Not only is her voice gutsy, but the guitar, and interaction with the audience was top-shelf. That means priceless for those who don't tip the bottle.
Love this song just love.........<3
Since you asked, would love the cd release to be in New Haven! Thanks for the inspirational thoughts about gratitude--always a good reminder. I also really love the Shawn Colvin song you referenced--"I Don't Know Why" I believe it's called. Wishing you joy and clarity as you finish the new cd and look forward to hearing it?! Linda

Dear Lara, I so very much enjoyed your performance in Hartford @ First Night! It's only now that I've had chance to check your website and am delighted to know of your upcoming gig in Stafford on 1/31! Look forward to being there and hearing you again! "Connecticut Skies" really touched my heart, "blah, blah, blah" and your piece about being stopped by the cop warmed me with joy and laughter. I was kind of dragged to 1st night and am SO GLAD that my friend wouldn't take no for an answer, otherwise, I would have missed you. Thank you so much for that beautiful event. Sincerely, Ellen Griffing

It's nice to find you on the internet. I'm happy to see you have been so successful in following your dream. Congratulations! Great songs and a terrific website.
We met at recent NERFA. I was sketching her as she performed. Top notch performer, good poetry, good music. Very moving subject matter and I've been listening to folk music for over 50 years. Thanks for performing, you add beauty to the world.
LOVE the layout of your site. Very classy and easy to navigate. Plus the clips of your songs makes me want to hang around just to listen. Very nice.
Lara, That song, 'Drive' is excellent. In August I drove from Pennsylvania to Aspen, CO and it was so fine. I got to know the steering wheel like you mention. Thanks a lot. I'm looking to do some house concerts too.
Lara, I really enjoyed meeting you on the Grand Canyon hike. I love your sense of humor! I hope you received everything you sought and more - write a song for the Fab 5! Hope to see you in Ashland in November.

Two weeks after an introduction from Garrison in Waterbury, we meet in person in Havre de Grace...something very Zen is going on here. "When you are ready to learn, the Teacher appears." I intend to be an honorable student of your awesome songwriting. See you in Waltham.
Lara, I heard your performance on Prairie Home Companion. Fantastic !!! ... and many congratulations to you. Don't think I'll be at Song School this year. Write on ! and again, so great for you !!!
So happy to discover your music Saturday night at the Palace Theater. Garrison always treats his audience just right. I'll be looking forward to hearing your music again soon -
Wow! What a fabulous performance on PHC. You have a gorgeous voice. I am interested in having my daughter hear "Mirrors and Smoke" after a recent magician break up. Where can we find it? Thank you!
My husband and I saw you last night on PHC in Waterbury. We were both captivated by your voice! Wondering if you know Bill Walach? He plays a Blue Grass Concert for us every summer when we hike in the White Mountains.
Saw you in Waterbury this evening at the Prairie Home Companion taping and was blown away by your songs and performance. I am ordering both your cd's and hope you'll let me know when and where you will be performing again in CT. dk
Lara, I just saw your awesome performance tonight at the Palace Theater in Waterbury with the Prairie Home Companion show. You have a truly beautiful voice and a gift for composing. Thank you so much for giving Connecticut that wonderfully heart-touching song! I look forward to seeing more of your performances.
Lara, Such a treat to hear you on A Prairie Home Companion tonight! My first thought was that Vic would have loved it. He had a special place in his heart for you. Congratulations on well earned continued success.
Hi Lara. I'm back, from not being with e-mail access for more than a month (AARRRGGHHHH!). As you can see from above, I now have a brand spanking new e-mail addy (I'm back with AT&T after a disaster-based stint with Comcast). So now, I can start receiving your e-shout out's about shows, etc. See you at a show soon. Be good.
My wife and I listened to your performance on WXPN Sunday April 12 and loved it. We look forward to hearing more of your great music!
I'll be listening tonight on xpn.org!!!!! Can't wait to see/hear what's new on your end.
Hi Lara, Thank you so much for perfoming and helping to judge the 1st annual WoodSongs Singer/Songwriter Contest out here at the University of Connecticut. Live music is better than dead music, and I can not do it alone. The students all loved your set, and my wife and I will be at one of your shows very soon. Jim
Hi, earlier I watched and heard your show with Noah at The Buttonwood Tree and thought . . . I can't get it all in one night, one version, from one chair, in the one voice you brought tonite. So . . . I'll have to find you again, hear the encore, and feel another dimension of you as you tell it, and play it to me in song.
Hey Kiddo, Still not much local I see. All the best for you as usual...
Lara -- Saw you at first night in Morristown. Enjoyed every minute. A great tradition is being continued and I thank you for that. See you on the road!
Lara Thank you for performing last night at the University of Hartford for Music for a Change you are an amazing performer. J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS. While you were playing today we ran up the score! ;)
I am happy to find your site, and see all that you are doing! I was JUST in CT and missed your Bethel performance by a day or two!
Still here, though the Summers are shorter and the Winters longer.
I really enjoy your music. I listened to some of it from your website. I understand you were at Telluride a while back; am thinking my brother-in-law may have driven you to Telluride from the airport. What a small world!! Great music!!
Enjoyed your music so much.
Hi Lara, I look forward to seeing your show of "Horses Sing None of It". The view from behind the camera and the director talking in my ear distacted me. You are a pretty woman and the close-up shots that I did should prove that. You sang and played well. Thank you. Brad
Hi Lara: Folk Alley's Open Mic did me a great favor by introducing me to your music. I've particularly enjoyed the "Random Thoughts" section of your web site. Would that these random thoughts were seen more as random "truths" and guides for living, we all might be in a better place. Anyway, I just wanted to express my appreciation for who you are, and for what you're doing. The last hour I spent listening to you on Folk Alley has been warm and wonderful. I'm sure my freinds and family are going to to en enjoy as much as I have. Not being sure when, or where, I can see you live, I'll just have to say, Hasta Pronto (I hope). Bill
Hey Lara, Love your music. Saw you perform at Acoustic Cafe in Bridgeport and Paperback Cafe in Old Saybrook. Am moving to Alexandria, VA soon and hope you make it down. I promise to round up some friends to come see you. Let me know or I'll keep checking your site. Good luck in Torrington. Lisa
I caught your set at the Acoustic Live tent at Falcon Ridge and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to hearing you at Sanctuary in October.
Hey Lara - Thanks for getting me on the mailing list, and thanks again for another beautiful performance at SolarFest this summer. Your Vermont fanbase continues to grow solid and strong! Peace, Hugh
Hi Lara -- I've lived in Florida for 4 years now and, believe me, living here has helped me appreciate what I no longer have. Remember that burning smell in late October when fireplaces came to life? Remember the sassiness and sarcasm that wafted its way up from New York and elsewhere? Remember real Christmas trees and houses large enough to absorb their radience? Remember the short-hand we spoke but everyone understood? Connecticut was never bland. People were sharp and motivated. Remember when keeping up with your landscaping really meant just keeping your grass cut? I remember how we shook our heads about the state of public education. Well, I've learned that CT has a lot to be proud of. Most of all, I miss my friends who will remain in CT.
Now that i've heard your CD - juror number 13 i am truly sorry i missed your show at the Space in Hamden, CT. I will definitely make a journey to see you at one of your next venues. I'm spreading the Lara word to my friends, i'm even letting them borrow my CD. Kunonya ddembe, Awamu, Melissa PHillips Windsor, CT
You submit your CD to pandora.com...I listen to it often and it is a great way to get your music to be heard by people who might enjoy it.
Hi Lara, Don Graybill told me that he had been in touch and I just wanted to say hi from Bolivia. looks like you are doing well. I wish I could see you in Albany, but I am there one week later. I will see if my son is there and ask him to go. He is currently studying Spanish in Antigua. All best regards, gary
Lara, you rock mama! Looks like you're still kickin some bootie with that beautiful voice of yours. Just thought I'd poke my head in and say keep on truckin'. Peace, TLT

I can't believe this is Lara Run!!! Hi, long time from Casablanca Morocco 1999 (workshop with Save the Children). I am astounded by your music career and love your voice and songs! I moved from Lebanon 3 years ago to work in Switzerland and to live closer to my partner. Will catch up later but for now, I just wanted to say what a wonderful surprise it was to see this website and hear you sing. Take care...and run! heba hage
I listened to Juror Number 13 this morning on my commute to work and I was utterly speechless. My heart was full, my eyes were welled...What an incredible piece of work this is. Your music is a delight - it is moving, funny, cultural, light and dark and so much more I don't have the words for. What a priviledge it is to hear and know your "voice" behind it all. Just unbelievably cool.
LOVE your new release...Juror Number 13! Looking forward to hearing you live on 3/28...best of luck, it's excellent!
awesome webstite, I went to one of your concerts by the way. -Jessica
